To Whom It May Concern:
I feel like Steve Hix, in conjunction with the IRGA, offers an
invaluable service to the concession GoKart industry. When a new prospect
calls, I generally always refer them to Steve. As a manufacturer, we do not
try to be all things to all people (customers and prospective customers).
While I feel we have a good handle on the karts themselves, there is much,
much more involved when planning a new facility or even adding new a track(s).
This is where Steve comes in. He is atune to what is going on, whether it be
demographics, feasibility, state laws, ASTM requirements, ADA, training, or
inspections. As editor of The Right Track, he writes informative and
interesting articles with his own unique style. When trouble arises, usually a
law suit, Steve is the first person I call.

"Glynn Barclay & Associates, Inc., has worked with Mr. Steven Hix since 1992.
We have given him assignments throughout the United States. These assignments
consisted of facility inspections, evaluations of rides, attractions, facility
management procedures and operations. I have found Steve's knowledge and
experience to be an asset to our company and to our clients. Steve's work
product has been consistently excellent in my opinion.
I look forward to working with Steve in the future."

Over the past 15 years, I have had the privilege
and the opportunity to work with Steve Hix in areas of common interest. His
tireless efforts on behalf of the Miniature Golf and Concession Go-Karting
interests of the Family Entertainment Industry, although very effective and
productive, tend to go unheralded. Under the IRGA and MGAUS banners, he has
fostered progress in the industry by dealing directly with the Assocations'
membership.
In the broader scope of industry interests he has
been a fighter and a leader in the ASTM standards development process. Others
preceded Steve, IRGA and MGAUS trying for many years to move ASTM F-24
philosophy from a reactive stance to one of proactivity.............Steve's
tenacity, dedication, and judgement of people were key as F-24 became sensitive
and responsive to the needs of all elements of the amusement industry.
While not a waterpark 'person' Steve has
organized and guided the F-24 subcommittees to the completion of standards
development which had been stalled for nearly 20 years. For this work, he has
been honored and recognized by the World Waterpark Association.
